Porcelain Crowns

Going to a dental appointment can be anxiety-inducing. Many patients experience significant stress before an examination, so you’re not alone if you’re feeling anxious before your visit. At Signature Dentistry Centennial, our team is dedicated to reducing those feelings. We do our best to create a calm, welcoming environment where you’ll be encouraged to ask questions and express concerns no matter what your appointment entails.

Restorative procedures may be especially stressful, as the process of repairing smiles can seem quite involved. We work closely with our patients to determine the best course of treatment to achieve the results you’re looking for.

Porcelain Crowns are one of our most popular aesthetic dental treatments, read on to find out why.

What Are Porcelain Crowns?

Porcelain crowns encapsulate the remains of an existing tooth that has either been worn, broken, or damaged in some way.

In the past, you may have seen crowns that appear glaringly fake, drawing negative attention to the way a person’s smile looks. This is often due to the metal material used to install older crowns. At Signature Dentistry Centennial, you don’t have to worry about your crowns looking fake. We take special care to match the shade, shape, and opacity of your natural smile and use only the best fabrication materials available. This combined with utilizing master ceramists for fabrication ensures our crowns are not only highly durable but incredibly beautiful and natural looking.

Who are Porcelain Crowns for?

Porcelain Crowns are the optimal choice when a tooth needs to be restored due to any of the following problems:

  • Cracked Teeth
  • Broken Teeth
  • Extensive Decay
  • Worn Teeth
  • Severely Discolored Teeth
  • When teeth have minimal natural structure remaining

Crowns can save teeth if they have been significantly damaged, by holding a cracked tooth together, providing additional strength and support to teeth that have large fillings or extensive decay. Porcelain crowns restore both the structural integrity and aesthetics back to teeth.

What Are The Steps In Getting A Porcelain Crown

Getting a crown is a simple process and requires only two appointments:

Step 1

Step 2

Preparation – The doctor will remove the damage or decay that is causing the teeth problems, and rebuild the strength and integrity to the teeth using bonding and adhesives. He will then prepare the teeth to receive the new crowns, make an impression of the teeth, and create custom temporary teeth, so when you leave you have your new look and healthier teeth! Your impression is then sent to the dental laboratory for them to create your custom porcelain crowns.
